“"My friend lives in Sunrise Senior Living of Wilmington. He passed away last week. The community was excellent. They had extremely caring staff, they had a well organized management team, they were very proactive with answering questions or changing a situation to be more comfortable for him or the residents. It's extremely clean, bright, and cheerful. Lovely people, well-managed, helped with problem solving, and I couldn't ask for any more. He was extremely happy there. They had different kinds of gatherings for different interest groups, and games, when things are special, they turn it into a social event with refreshments and community type activities to bring the folks together. The food was excellent, it looked and felt like walking into a dining room of a hotel, and the dining area was lovely. It is expensive, but you got what you paid for."”
Friend of a Former Resident““Sunrise of Wilmington was wonderful to my father during his five-month residency. Our family appreciated how much respect and care that the staff provided to my father and our family. A special group of people!””
Resident's Child““You have an excellent and caring staff. You have hired God's angels to do this work! We are very pleased with Mother's care. Many thanks!” ”
Resident's Child““It is difficult to select any employee for special mention, which is a testament to you and your staff… They treated him with a loving kindness that went far above just his physical care and always made time to speak with us about any of our concerns. We appreciate all that you did to make Dad feel special and cared for.””
Resident's Family“"When I tell people about the wonderful care my mother received at Sunrise, they are always a little surprised. Not many people have good things to say about assisted living places especially ones that care for people who suffer from severe dementia. Sheri and her staff treated my mother with dignity, respect and love."”
Resident's Daughter“"Words cannot express the profound gratitude that my family and I have for every individual of the Sunrise team who took care of my mom, Helen Zecca. The team is truly exceptional. Helen arrived in October 2014 and immediately felt welcome and comfortable. After her broken hip in 2015 we were so happy that she could continue to stay in her apartment at Sunrise while she was wheelchair bound and needed more assistance. Most especially, the true caring nature of every team member was evident during the past 6 weeks when my mother returned from the hospital and enrolled in hospice. At that point I began visiting almost daily and came to see for myself the dedication and enthusiasm with which the team cares for the Sunrise residents. I was especially surprised and glad at how many team members visited my mother, often on a daily basis, when they were not responsible for her care that given day. My mother loved these visits and was so grateful to see everyone’s smiling face. I hope the ”
Resident's Daughter“"My tour of Sunrise Senior Living of Wilmington was lovely. The woman who did the tour was very thorough, very friendly, and introduced me to the activities director. They had an entertainment area. Most of the residential part has showers, but there's a room you can sign up to take a bath that had bathtubs. It felt very homey, and it's very clean."”
Visitor to Facility“"Sunrise of Wilmington was well set up and bright. I like the people that we've dealt with. There isn't anything that I don't like about it. They had Bingo, movie nights, and outings to a restaurant or the grocery store. The staff was competent and friendly. The food was excellent."”
Visitor to Facility“"We visited Sunrise of Wilmington and had a very good impression. It was a wonderful place. The staff seemed very nice and very helpful. The rooms were very nice. The dining room was also very nice. The food was OK. From all the ones we looked at, that definitely would be the only one I would consider. It was sunny and cheerful. The people and staff were very nice. We also walked through the memory care unit, which was also nice compared to the other ones that we looked at."”
