Description

How this provider describes their care services

Aston Park Health Care Center, Where the Greatest Treasures are People. We take the care of our residents to heart.

Located in Asheville, NC. We are a Non-Profit Organization solidly established in the Asheville community since 1980. Aston Park Health Care Center provides: Short Term Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing and Alzheimer's Dementia Care.

Full Spectrum Care

Aston Park Health Care Center is fortunate to offer different services of care on the same campus and within the same facility. A physician must determine the level of care of each resident that is admitted to Aston Park Health Care Center.

Upon admission, each resident will be assigned a specific bed and unit according to the needs of care specified by the physician. Every effort will be made to facilitate moves within the facility with ease for each resident if their needs change and a level of care change is necessary.

Staff rotates in the various units in order to become oriented to all the residents in the facility, but every attempt is made to keep consistency in staff on each unit, as we see the importance of developing a trust and friendship between residents and the employees who care for them.

Testimonials

How patients, their family and other customers have described this provider's care services

I was very satisfied with the care I received at Aston Park Health Center. The cleanliness of the place, the food was good, and it was nice to listen to the little birds which were next to my room. The help I received from Therapy was great I appreciate all those folks there did to get me going again. Bless every one. Sincerely, E.W., God has blessed each of your wonderful staff

My mother, E.H., spent seven weeks (March 20 to May 8) at your facility recovering from a stroke and from colon cancer surgery. Your staff- CNAs, nurses, doctors, physical therapists, admissions director and others treated her with such tenderness and compassion while fulfilling their professional duties. I was overwhelmed with the level of communication, cleanliness, and dedication! It far surpasses any other nursing facility I have experienced. She especially enjoyed her meals with her friends in the small dining room and her lovely room that seemed like a college dorm room to her, not a nursing facility! Mom returned home with us for three wonderful weeks under the support of CarePartners Hospice before moving to the John F. Keever Solace Center on May 30. Mom actually had three very peaceful and often joyful weeks at Solace before passing on June 22, 2012, what would have been my father's birthday. My loss is great and the grief is still ever present, but we have recognized so man

I think my research paid off and that this was the best choice I could have made. You did it all!! Everyone gave me excellent attention. Mollie went over the top, staying late once the approval was given and helping my sister get me settled. I absolutely received excellent therapy and care. I do not think of a thing that needs to improve. The care I received was excellent. All the therapists were wonderful. Just an observation, having been in the health care field for a while, I was so impressed with the positive attitude that all presented. I did not sense any undercurrents of dissatisfaction and I will admit, I was looking for it. Everyone has "bad hair" days, but this was not displayed in front of the residents. You all should be very proud of that. I thank you for the wonderful care and I hope I will be fortunate enough to return when I have the next knee done! C.B.

We would like to thank Aston Park Management and all of its employees for taking care of FH ... for 17 years. We know at times she was very difficult to deal with and had to have help with just about everything she did, but you'll came through with flying colors. We appreciate the kindness and devotion you gave her. We also appreciate you notifying us whenever Mom wasn't feeling well or was having a change in her medication. Personally we don't think anyone could find a nursing home as good and as clean as Aston Park. We were always very impressed with Aston Park and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about coming there. After we left Asheville, we had just gotten home when we were notified that Vien's Mother was sick in Thousand Oaks, California. She passed away before we could get there. It was just twelve days after Frances passed away. We suffered two great losses, now that both our Moms are gone. Again we appreciate all the all the help you have given ... and us. Fee

Thank you very much for the lovely arrangements - But a very special thank you for the good care and compassion extended to my mother. So many others treated mom with respect and dignity and provided pleasure and joy for her. Reese brought a smile on every visit and made mom feel so special. C.

Your tenderness, encouragement, and compassionate care of our grandmother during her stays were a testament to the love you all have for those who are suffering. Grandmother thought the world of Aston Park and our entire family does too. Thanks and God's richest blessings on each of you who made her last days comfortable! The family of D.F.

We appreciate so much the wonderful care that all of you gave to our mother. It was a great comfort to have such wonderful caregivers, Our thanks and love to all of you. The family of P.N.

I just want to thank you for the good care that I got from everyone during my rehab at Aston Park. All of the nurses were very good, but I especially want to thank N...., K...., and J...., the treatment nurse who went the extra mile seeing that my wound was watched and taken care of. Thanks again to all of the staff. I appreciate everything. Also, the housekeeping staff did a wonderful job keeping my room clean. M.D.

To all the nurses and CNA's who helped me during my stay at Aston Park. To Nancy, Kathy (Kathy with a "K" and Cathy and Adam especially for you kindness and help while I was there!!) To all the nurses (meds), all the CNA's who helped me dress, shower, served me food and all the other things!!! I'm glad to be home- all is going well, Bob is helping me and Care Partners is coming for at least 4 weeks. Have fun at work and I miss all of you!! Love, R. H.

You are a wonderful group of people. Thank you for the loving care you gave my mother. We really appreciate all you did for her. I hope you enjoy these goodies. The family of H.K.

I write to you with heartfelt thanks and love for your immediate and effective response to my survey and recommendations. What a delight and pleasure it is now to visit during meal times. I'm so very glad for R., the other residents, and the staff. Thank you more than I know how to express. Your response more than confirms my choice of place to which to entrust my beloved R. Sincerely and Gratefully, S.S.

My Grandmother A..M.. will be completing her second short-term stay at Aston Park next week. She was there previously after a fall and hip surgery in early 2002. Her stay at this time came after a knee replacement procedure. She and I both wanted to let you know how much we appreciate all that has been done for her during her two stays at your facility. The entire staff including Dr. Ford, the nurses, the physical therapists and all the support staff have all done a wonderful job. Their care and professionalism has assisted greatly in her recovery. Please express our gratitude and thanks to all concerned. J.M.

Once again, I just wanted to share a personal thank you to you and your team for the great care that you have provided and continue to provide on a daily basis to my mom and dad. We are very excited that Mom is settling in well at home and appears to be on a continuing path of recovery. That outlook was greatly enhanced by many members of the Aston Park Team - thank you for helping Mom get back on her feet (no pun intended.) A major thank you, also, for your continued care of Dad. Although we wish circumstances were different, we recognize that at this point it is not possible for Dad to be at home and it is reassuring to know that the care and attention he receives at Aston Park helps make the best of a less than ideal situation. You have an outstanding group of members on your team: D., who has done an outstanding job not only with admissions, but with regular check-ups with Mom and Dad M., who has in the past, and continues to be, a great advocate of Mom and Dad B. and G., two great
